Mom's Day
So I guess I should back up to Saturday... yea I helped my mom put in a rose garden. It was fun. Her and I do garden stuff alot. It's theraputic. And I get away from the kids for awhile. HAHA! :) Anyway... so before we did the garden stuff I did a walk on the base for deployed soldiers. It was awesome. Love the comrodery(Dude I so know I spelled that wrong) of the event. Then after that we went and did the garden stuff. We were out in the sun for maybe an hour. Ok I lie it was more like 4. Yea I'm feeling it. I'm totally and completely sunburny on the tops of my arms. I wore a tank top and yea... DAMNIT! I still hurt. Nothing is wanting to take the sting out. So....
Then theres yesterday... I went over to my mom's in the morning and helped her with her black hole of a closet. Yea that was crazy. Then went to OKC with her and my neice to see my sister. I was basically there to support my mom. She was meeting my sister's bf's mom for the first time. Well so was I and my neice. Anyway... so my sister got me a mom's day gift. She got me a gift card to wally world. Totally was not expecting it. But I'm thankful. :)
Her BF brandon made a hell of a meal. He has a smoker and smoked brisket. YUM!
So all in all it was a cool day... not only that I came home to a clean house. YAY!

RAWK on Chrissy!!! oh. Btw. It's camaraderie, i know, it looks funny as hell...and honest to God...spray starch for the sun burn. regular old spray STARCH..don't get the fabric sizing...trust me on this one. it will take the sting and the red right out.

ummm ~ SPRAY STARCH sprayed on the sunburn???
I've used vinegar (makes one smell like a pickle) but the fire is gone quickly and the next morning the red is gone. It doesn't hold in the heat at all so the burn can be lessened. Had hardly any peeling with the use of vinegar.
Also heard of aloe, but for me the vinegar worked best.

when i was MUCH younger, we used to go water skiing all day long in the HOT california sun. we would come back literally FRIED. and yes, we whipped out the can of spray starch. it killed the pain instantly, and sort of sealed the burn or something like that, anyway, it wasn't red and itchy the next day. and when i say fried, i mean really fried. blistery, second degree burns over most of your body. aloe, we all had, but spray starch worked better. don't know why. don't know the theory behind it. just used it. LOL
